Once upon a time, there was a little boy...well, not so little with the top of his shaved head measuring in at 6'2". So, once upon a time there was this tall boy... Well, 'boy' isn't quite accurate, he is 42-years-old after all. Let me just tell it like it is... There was this strapping, tall, handsome prince-of-a-gentleman who spent his days and his nights and pretty much every waking moment running. Now, running gives a person a lot of quality thinking time, and during this time the hero-prince of our story decided that there was one huge thing missing in his life... he needed a good woman at his side.
Our gallant lad knew that in the small town of Boone, Iowa where he lived there was not a maiden to be found that could win the affections of his heart. So, reluctantly, at the prompting of his friends, he entered the unpredictable world of e-dating and joined eHarmony. At the same time in the Emerald Kingdom to the west, a young woman was pondering the same idea. She had two close friends who had found "The One" through the magic of modern technology and had just been asked to be the maid-of-honor in a wedding for a couple who had been brought together by eHarmony.
So in March of 2009 both the handsome prince (henceforward referred to as 'Dan') and the lovely maiden (Andrea) took the fateful step and signed up for eHarmony. They were instantly matched by the computer wizards of the renowned dating service. Andrea, determined to make the most of her 3 months-for-the-price-of-1 membership sent 'first questions' to all of the eligible men she had been matched with. Two responded, but only one caught her attention...Dan.
After Dan responded, the couple sped their way through the eHarmony e-dating process of 1st questions, 1st answers, must haves, can't stands, 2nd questions, 2nd answers, and straight to 'open communication' in the time span of less than two days. For Dan, it was Andrea's candid responses to his 2nd questions that first told him, 'This girl is special'. For Andrea, Dan's thoughtful questions and obvious love for God made her sit up and take notice.
